Nano Water-Soluble Technology

Definition and Overview of Nano Food

Nano technology is becoming an important product development technology with biotechnology in the field of food. Nanotechnology is already widely used in the fields of new materials such as ceramics and superconducting materials, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. Now, it has started to be applied to the development of products (materials) in the field of food.Nano technology can solve problems that were difficult to realize in conventional food manufacturing, such as increasing surface area, facilitating drinking, reducing sedimentation, facilitating mixing, improving water uptake, and enabling non-thermal sterilization. Therefore, it started to be applied to product development in the field of food including health food.Nano food is a functional food that uses new materials to produce useful materials or to promote health by constructing and devising a food system utilizing nanotechnology. FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) and WHO Nano food is defined as food or related products produced through the application of nanotechnology during the entire food supply chain (production, processing, packaging, and distribution) (FAO 2010).

Nano Water-Soluble Technology

Nano water-soluble technology breaks down dietary fiber, protein, fat, and other such solid nutrients which are general forms of food and fat-soluble liquid of fatty acids into nano-size particles in order to support active digestion of foods and also enhances digestive and absorptive function by stabilizing broken particles after surface treatment with water-soluble natural surfactant or natural emulsifier.

The Relationship Between Digestion and Absorbing of Nano Water-Soluble Technology

Nano water-soluble technology has applied are smaller in size and larger in surface area than ordinary food materials are, the absorption and use of such materials get activated inside the body with enhanced permeability and residence time for particles and capsules and also enhanced solubility and dispersibility help the materials pass through phospholipid bilayer which is cell membrane difficult to penetrate and therefore allow the effective use and absorption of extracted functional substances inside the body.
